Am I Eligible?
SCE AND CCAs
SCE customers can purchase their electricity directly from SCE or through local Community Choice Aggregators (CCAs), community not-for-profit organizations that purchase electricity on behalf of residents and businesses. SCE customers who purchase electricity directly from SCE or from one of the following CCAs are eligible to enroll in SmartShift Rewards:

- Central Coast Community Energy (CCCE)
- Clean Power Alliance (CPA)
- Desert Community Energy (DCE)
- Energy for Palmdale’s Independent Choice (EPIC)
- Lancaster Energy (LE)
- Orange County Power Authority (OCPA)
- Pico Rivera Innovation Municipal Energy (PRIME)
- Pomona Choice Energy (POME)
- Rancho Mirage Energy Authority (RMEA)
- Santa Barbara Clean Energy (SBCE)
- San Jacinto Power (SJP)

TIME-OF-USE RATES
A Time-of-Use rate gives you more control over your electricity costs by providing you the option to switch some of your usage to times of the day when electricity prices are lower. To enroll in SmartShift Rewards you will need to be on a Time-of-Use rate to qualify. If you are not already on a Time-of-Use rate, you can choose to switch to a plan that works best for you, or you will be defaulted to the TOU-D-4-9PM rate plan.
Income-qualified benefits and eligibility
You may be eligible to get higher monthly rewards based on your household income or address.
During your enrollment you can indicate if you are currently enrolled in California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) and Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) discounted rate programs or have participated in one of the following:
- SCE’s Energy Savings Assistance (ESA) Program
- TECH Clean California Program, and received Equity Incentives
- Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
- Low Income Weatherization Program (LIWP)
During the enrollment process, your verified participation in any of these programs would qualify you for higher monthly rewards. You may also qualify for higher rewards based on your address. If you qualify, either through your address or through your participation in the programs listed above, a program representative will notify you as part of the enrollment process.
