Service Account Number

Your Service Account Number begins with the number 8, no dashes, and then 9 digits, like this: 8000000000. This number is tied to your service address where your meter is and helps us track your usage information and calculations.

 

Rate Plan

Your current rate plan is on in the ‘Details of your new charges’ section of your bill.

The brand, model number and serial number listed on your water heater’s nameplate. Tankless, natural gas, and propane water heaters are not eligible to participate in SmartShift Rewards.

Whether or not you have a Thermostatic Mixing Valve

If your water heater manufacturer offers a homeowner’s app for a smartphone, please go to the app store, download it, and create an account before you start your SmartShift application.  You’ll need your app login information to complete the application.

Once you’ve completed your application, you’ll get a confirmation email. It may take a few days to confirm your eligibility. Keep an eye on your email in case we have any questions about your application.

You’ll get an email when your enrollment is confirmed. For the first four weeks, SmartShift Rewards will monitor your hot water use to get to know your preferences before any shifts to your energy use are made. Once that orientation period is complete, SmartShift Rewards will start shifting your energy usage and you’ll start earning rewards!
